I am an intuitive artist currently creating the life of my dreams in Pittsfield, Vermont. Originally from New Brunswick, Canada, my work is often inspired by my coastal life as a fisherman's daughter. For as long as I can remember, there's been a pencil, a crayon or a brush in my hand and I've been sketching people and my environment. I have always felt a special connection to the ocean, to nature and the universe as a whole. My artwork will hence often explore and reflect many of the textures and colours I see in the world around me.
In everyday life, I love to go with the flow, therefore I also prefer to feel my way to the creative process. When I am at play in my studio, I love to use acrylic paints, watercolors, inks, resin, pigments and many other different mediums. As a lover and protector of the environment, I will often use discarded objects I find in the world around me to inspire and create my different projects.
The work of Jackson Pollock, Gustav Klimt, Vincent Van Gogh and Salvador Dali, as well as the art of contemporary artists like Carol Nelson, Andrew Salgado and Françoise Nielly continues to fascinate me. I love how most art can transport me on an imaginary journey through space and time. Abstract art, more so than any other art form, inspires me in my creativity. As an artist, the only limit I have is that of my imagination. And since I have a creative mind, I see no limits to what is possible. No one can break the rules more beautifully than an artist.
